Midnight Musings: Bar Cookie Fail: Yesterday was a mess! I mean it didn't exactly feel like one all day but in the round up of exactly went on...yeah just not my best day....

Hi my name is Jed Lloyd. Welcome to my blog and thank you for coming to see. Here's some more about me. If you didn't already know I am an Artist and Creator who loves all things creative. I am generally an artistic person and have been since as far back as I can remember. Give me a pen and piece of paper and I will show you something cool after 5 minutes, something original of my own and not copied from anywhere at all. Ideas spur from my mind although I do think talking and meeting others can inspire you or spur thoughts on new ideas. That is what I love about meeting new people and other creative technical heads as we always get into mass conversation about cool and super new ideas. I used to think that sharing ideas was bad and it sometimes is as somebody could snap up one of your ideas in a flash and have it developed over night , 10 times better than what you had in mind and it actually works for them, so you do have to be careful sometimes. I do love to share my ideas with the right people , people who don't steal them and people who are willing to talk with you and help you to further create and develop the idea. Be sure you are in with the right crowd/company, get to know them before telling them about your ideas.

I kind of went on a rant there about ideas sorry, haha, but that's really one thing I do enjoy is creating and planning ideas/projects and so on. I don't know if that is weird , it may be some kind off addiction I have, maybe I am a re-incarnated Einstein or a lost soul from an old explorer or inventor, who knows what the truth may be !!!!

A quick tip for Bloggers. One thing I have learn't about blogging is people prefer to interact with people or a person as opposed to a brand or company. People just feel that bit more comfortable this way and really feel more natural to them. Another thing I have learn't about blogging say in the last two to three months is just Be Yourself!! There's nothing better than being yourself, nobody wants to interact with someone that is clearly sending out the wrong message or you have seen that they are acting in a way just to get your attention to try and sell you something. I used to spend alot of time making really sharp , professional type blogs with a sort of business feel as I was interested in giving blogging and marketing tips, advice etc. I did quite enjoy this as I got to learn more about using blogger and blog tools and how to set up a clean looking page. I am more of a creative person , but I also enjoy a lot of technical and business type subjects and I love to meet people who are talented, creative and also others who have there own companies and business ideas. Let me know if your one of these technical creatives who loves talking :-)

How to make a blog

Hey Guys, Are you interested in learning more about blogging or you are wondering how to make a blog and don't know how to start then this should help you to begin blogging. What is your current understanding of blogging? If you see blogging as a bunch of text and images that look similar to a website then you are near enough correct. A blog can be about anything such as a hobby or something that you follow or like to do such as sport. Blogging in the first stages is not going to make you a dime but its something good to learn. Everyone has to be a beginner at the start unfortunatly, I cannot wave my magic wand an turn you into a blogger over night, although I will try my best. Another thing I can do for you is help you when you get stuck or I can give you some advice that I have gathered myself and tell you what places not to look into and waste time over, I will cut a few corners for you but also you should do your own research aswell, that is what will make you a distinctive blogger, by learning from various sources and by adding your own edge to it. Ok lets cut the first corner by letting me stop talking and telling you how to get your first blog up and running.

Cut a long story short, there are 2 main options when it comes to blogging. Them options are that you have a blog online which is free to operate which you can do on blogger blosgpot account or you can do the same with a wordpress account. These options are free and great to begin blogging especially for beginners to learn the ropes.

When you become a more experienced blogger or web designer you may choose to have your own personal domain name and self hosted website. This is where you will have to pay but it is relatively cheap and will only cost you a few dollars to get a cheap hosting deal. Then once you become a super blogger you can invest in better hosting if needed.

So a quick recap you can have a payed personal website which is better in the long run if you are thinking of going all out , or if you need a website for your buisness. Then the free blogging options from blogger and wordpress which will include your chosen name but on a blogspot or wordpress domain name. Hope that makes sense.

I will be writing more on blogging and starting your blog for the first time, but in the meantime if you wish to experiment then head over to blogger or wordpress and start pressing some buttons :)
I do recommend newbies to have a go on blogger and see how blogs work and operate. Its pretty cool.

Google Plus - How to share posts on Google Plus

Hi, here's some information on how to share posts, pictures and other things on Google Plus. I know you most likely know how to do this already so this is for anyone who doesn't know or is unsure. You may actually find out something new if you didn't already know.

Sharing a post

There is a few ways you can share a post on Google Plus. Here's how to do it :

1. The first way you can share a post is from the main screen you see on G+. You see that box that says "Share whats new.."? Go ahead and write something there and you will be on your way to doing a great post.





Notice the 5 options you have , Text , Photos so you can add pictures, Link so you can share website/blogs or other links you wish to share. You can also upload a video from your computer or via You tube link if you already have videos on You tube to share. I will talk more about the video option soon as I want to tell you some important things about it. Also there is a option to do hangouts on Google which is a Video Conference type of call which you can use to connect and meet with others. Great feature although I have not yet got involved in Hangouts. Maybe soon.

2. Another way you can share a post is by clicking the "Share" button in the top right hand corner of your screen.





Click the  + Share button to make a post! This is an easy way to share posts and is also accessible not just from the main Google Plus screen , this can also be viewed from your G-Mail email account screen also on other Google Pages such as You tube and Blogger. Also you can see the wonderful bell notification area !!! very shiny and always lighting up with amazing notifications from fabulous Googlers. I will tell you more about this feature soon also. Its still pretty new in my eyes till the next Google update.

Sharing Privately/Publicly

When it comes to submitting your post, be aware of who you have included to send the message/post out to. You can choose to post it publicly for all to see or just to specific people  or specific circles.
If you want to send a private post/message then un-tag all the circles such as +public, +extended circles and all the others remaining in that box and just add the one name of the person you would like to send the private post. Good luck guys, Happy Posting!
